Winner of 2014 BBC Folk Award for Best Original Song for Two Ravens featuring Martin Carthy, this album also contains Shipping Song, a hypnotic muse on the national institution of the Shipping Forecast. Garnering the attention of BBC Radio 4 Lisa was subsequently asked to present a documentary for them on the Shipping Forecast, aired in 2015.
After the success of her debut, Wild & Undaunted, which mainly consisted of traditional songs, Lisa set about writing an album of entirely original material for her second release. A plethora of guests also feature: Alasdair Roberts adds vocal and guitar specialness on Hunt The Hare, Kathryn Williams adds vocal magic on Hushabye and James Yorkston and Marry Waterson join Lisa for her cover of Black Horse (written by Marry's mother Lal).
Joined instrumentally by the inimitable Pete Flood (Bellowhead) on percussion duties throughout and renowned guzheng player Zi Lan Liao on Ruler of The Rest, the album is produced and mixed by Gerry Diver who also adds much of his own instrumental and musical magic across the songs.
